Default A weekend at a fort - part 2

Hi Guys,

This is the 2nd part of the weekend at Laxmangarh fort photographs.

the central courtyard. all 13 rooms of the fort open onto this courtyard

laxmangarh courtyard

another turret of the fort

another angle of laxmangarh fort

the fort had its own reservoir to harvest rain water from drinking.. it's 80 ft by 40 ft by 13.5 ft of water.. and the purification system is unknown, and the water level automatically adjusts to 13.5 ft, in case of any overflow.
Currently, the depth is about 8ft.. that means about 712 cubic mts of water at the time the photo was taken.
the water, btw, is amazingly sweet

the reservoir

tried a panoramic view of the terrace and the town below and beyond. this was first panoramic attempt, so the left sky is blown out, and was handheld, so its tilting to left totally.

laxmangarh panorama

Hope u like them..

Cheers,

Harsh

I love the second shot in this series. The person on the steps adds so much to the scale of this place. Thanks for sharing these.
