Default Birds of Prey

Visted a Birds of Prey Centre this afternoon, and out of the nearly 300 shots I took, these were the ones I think I'm most happy with.

An African Secretary Bird

Secretary Bird

A Bateleur Eagle

Battler Eagle

A harris Hawk in flight (this was the best of a bad bunch of "action shots" but I'm still happy with it)

Harris Hawk

And the nasty looking talons on a Griffon Vulture

Griffon Vulture Talons

There's a bunch more on my flickr if you're that way inclined.
Thanks for stopping by.

Well, they could/might, but the Secretary Bird tends to eat snakes and, like the Harris Hawk and Bataleur Eagle smaller furry things not feathered so much, and vultures usually like carrion, not live prey.

Great pics! I love that you got the Secretary Bird with crest up.

Here is said Secretary Bird stomping on a (toy) snake. first time I've seen one live, and I really took to it, it was very graceful in the way it stomped on the snake. And great looking with it too.
