So, I finally broke down and purchased the Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro lens. All I can say is "WOW!" This lens is blowing me away with how sharp it is and how brilliant the color reproduction is. I think I found my new favorite lens.
I have started to break it in a little, and I got a few shots from my backyard. Here you go: ![]() ![]() ![]() I must say that the second shot is my favorite. Hope you like them.

Thanks!
Believe it or not, these are pretty much straight from camera. The only thing I adjusted was the white balance and color saturation/vibrance slightly. I am so giddy over this lens. It's kind of ridiculous. I feel like such a child.

Haha. Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of them myself, but I made sure not to disturb them, so it was fine. Thanks - to you and everyone else - for the compliment(s).
