I only know of this event by reputation and note it is in its third year, no doubt 2009 will be bigger and better than previous festes and it looks impressive from your excellent stiltwalker pictures.
Fingers crossed the weather plays its part in the festivities and I'll be looking out for more of your pictures already taken, or maybe you'll get chance to back there again today or tomorrow

Wow, thats pretty impressive. Are these men on stilts ? Yes I know I sound silly, but I've never heard of this event, and now you've peaked my curiousity. Looking forward to more photos of the event.

Looks like a great festival Nathan and great captures from it. The first two look like they came straight from a sci fi movie. Thanks for sharing them with us Nathan and I hope our lovely weather didn't spoil thigs too much.

Dave.

Thanks Beach. I'll post some more when I have time to edit them. Life is a bit hectic at the moment so I only managed to get to the first day.

Yes they were stilt walkers. I don't think the event is well known outside Derby. Thanks for your comment

Maybe next year we should arrange a DPS meet-up as there's quite a few of us round here now. Hope you made it!

Hi Nathan,
spend most of yesterday (Sat) at the feste and had a great time. I really enjoyed the salsa music and the drumming troop in the evening were awesome. I took the liberty of starting a thread on here named similar to yours, I hope you dont mind? and as for next year... Meeting up with you and spending some time would be a real pleasure for me. Nice idea, lets go for it.
David.
