Default New Lens Test Drive...

I bought a new to me, Tamron 28-300mm Macro Zoom Lens. I took it out for a test drive today.

Here's a Damselfly. These guys don't sit still long.

Damsel Fly 2

These are little droplets of water in these flowers. It had just stopped raining. They look like catcher's mitts holding glass pearls.

Pearls And Petals

Here is a Hibiscus pistol.

And last, "Drops On The Green"

Drops On The Green

That was fun. Smooth suspension, tight on the corners great acceleration!
I think I'll keep it!

Thanks Betty! I have seen many a Damselflys, but never this close. I was really happy and fortunate to capture the image. Thanks again!

Great shots! I always thought that "third party" lenses are of lower quality, but I guess I was wrong. They're just as sharp, and I love the DoF.

Looks like it passed with lots of flying colors, especially the blue one.

Well you do have to be careful. I did some research, read some reviews and kinda had it narrowed down before I started hunting. Thanks again.

Have fun at the other end. It is a little challenging, but worth the effort!

Thanks! I had to chase that guy around for a while. I think he finally got tired enough to land and rest a minute. Then I struck! So to speak....
