Default Man V.S Wild

Here is an interesting one!

Every one is somewhat strange in their own ways, no?

Well, not too long ago I was on the beach in Gurrero, Mexico and ran into this strange man who was carrying his strange looking pet on his shoulders. Considering what an odd scene it was, almost everyone on site was drawn toward him to get a closer view.

Then, very quickly and slowly he worked his way out of the crowd and came and laid along side his pet about 20 feet away from me. I sort of got the hint that he did not want to be disturbed so I let him be!

After a couple of hours or so of being under the sun without any movement, he got up, put his pet back on his shoulder and started walking. Knowing how curious I am, I decided to approach him one way or another and so there I was with my camera out. I asked for his permission to take pictures and he said very seriously "listen young man only 2 photos".

I snapped my 2 shots (attached) and then he started walking away. Suddenly he stopped and said "Maya is 3 years old and never leaves my side, lives in a big pond in my garden, and we come here only to take some sun for a few hours. Just because you have respected my privacy I will let you to take 1 last photo, dont ask me any questions because I will not answer you".

I took my last photo, which did not turn out good by the way, and then he left.

great capture & story
I fully expect to read a news report that will run in 2015 that will read
"Mexican man killed by 15ft pet crocodile"

Man, I grew up with nile crocs in all the open water on our farm and have lost dogs and cattle to those guys - they are eating machines and don't do "pet" very well

I was thinking the same thing. That croc's mouth is longer then the guy's head! One day he's gonna turn around and put that guy's head in his mouth!

If you look close in the second picture, it looks like he took the precaution of tieing the croc's mouth shut.
