I'm hoping I can stay up long enough to get a moon shot tonight. I'm yawning now though and still have 2 hours left. Stinks to get old.

Tonights moon here was out about 2 hours before the sun set. Maybe go check you might see it LOL

Because of where I live, it has to rise enough to be above the trees that surround us. I can get a great shot at about 1am if I set the alarm though.

Manual focus or not this is a great shot. Hope to have the equipment someday to take a great picture like this.

Nice moon shot Tony .. it's not so easy to get a clean moonshot with alot of contrast and details.. I think you quite well !!

I always shoot the moon on tripod with remote ( It's a loooong way to reach ) and I also use manual focus, lock the mirror and take 3-shot bracketed bursts and most of mine don;t come out as good as this one, so great job ! .. you seem to improve with each post !

Nice shot but I find the halo around the moon a bit distracting. Also, is this a cropped image?
