When i saw the title... calm shot from the dock.. i thought of a big dock with big ships lying around but taken at a peaceful moment.. and then i see this wonderful picture.. of a place i think i could spent days just sitting and looking! i gotta love this!

Thanks, I feel the same way which is why I live there. The lake is a private lake that is surrounded by about 600 homes going up the mountain on all sides. At the far end of the lake is a stream which feeds the lake and if you travel up the stream about a quarter mile you get to my house which is flanked by the stream on one side and several hundred acres of county owned forest.

Very nice shot! I like the serenity and peace it brings when looking at it. The water is very calm, like it was shot in the morning, but the shadows tell me I'm wrong. I would love to see a morning shot of this lake.
