Default Welcome Home USS George Washington

I was fortunate enough to be on the pier while the USS George Washington was pulling in. Unfortunately I missed out on the families greeting their sailors. I had a prior engagement. Oh well, maybe next time!

Welcome Home

The GW

waiting to moor

Red, white and blue

Thank you to all the men and women who have served or are serving our great country!

Nice series of shots, summer. I get the feeling of the size and splendor of the ship here. I'm hoping next time, you'll be able to get shots of sailors greeting families.

Thank you sir! It was just something I did while I was waiting. Trying to pass the time and ease my excitement.

great set, I have to take #2 as my fav here, the tower looks massive and with the B&W seems appropriate to show off the strength of her steel ..
