What’s Your Preference?

I took a recent trip to Colorado. This was the sunset we enjoyed in my mother-in-law's backyard.

I don't usually go for shillouette shots, but a few of my wife's cousins were admiring the view and I thought it was a good opportunity.

Both pictures are excellent, love the colours and the silhouette in the second makes it a very interesting picture.

what a backyard view! Love both shots and I really like silhouettes....most people who are captured in silhouette form really like them as well as they hide "imperfections" etc that often get in the way of getting a cooperative pose

I know. I love the view back there. The lake was fairly calm too which gave a nice reflection.

Thanks to both of you. The colors didn't quite get into the reds and purples that I would've really liked but this worked out pretty well.
