My 50mm prime finally came in! So I'm goofing off with it a bit.
I'm really enjoying this lens! I'll be in a crowd this weekend, so hopefully I can get some experience and learn something. I love the depth of field, but I think I might stop bragging and just post. Some things I'm learning: When photographing cats, it's tough to get low enough. When holding the camera and hoping, getting the right orientation can take a few tries (and I rarely get the horizon perfectly level! Thank you, software for providing a fix!) Any way .... two of my plants (tomato and blueberry -- both planted this spring) ![]() ![]() for both: Exposure Time = 1/3200 second F-Stop = ƒ/1.8 ISO Speed Ratings = 800 and a friend's cats xD (I need to adjust white balance on this one I think ... but then, I did all this editing on my netbook and we all know how accurate their displays are!) ![]() (I tried adjusting white balance a bit on this one. No, the cat is not pure white. ![]() for these: Exposure Time = 1/160 second Lens F-Stop = ƒ/1.8 ISO Speed Ratings = 1600 Of course, I do also accept [general] advice so I can get better! Not bad work...love the shots of the cats. Cats are easier than dogs because they don't move as much (usually).
Congrats on your new lens.
