Default Water, water, everywhere!

I went on a trip to Whistler, and then to Duffy Lake Road northeast of Pemberton. We stopped at a few beautiful places: Cairn Falls, Joffre Lake, Duffy Lake, and Seton Lake. These lakes, and the falls are all glacial fed, and pristine! If you ever come to this area these are must sees for photography. Make sure you bring a fairly wide lens though! Mine was not as wide as I would have liked. Enjoy! PS: This round trip took my friend Bob and myself about 14 hours.

Cairn Falls (The volume of water coming down here was unreal!)

Joffre Lake (This is one of three lakes chained together. See if you can pick out the glaciers above the lake.))

Duffy Lake (Beautiful, and quite big!)

Seton Lake (Huge lake with boat access!)

I love British Columbia! It is so full of natural beauty!

Wow... The lakes are just gourgeous. And you captured them beautifully. I love the 2nd shot.

Thanks sparda. I may tweak these photos to get just a little more contrast. It was late when I looked at them! Cheers, mate!

Nicely done! What beautiful country. I've been to BC only once and went to an area called Hell's Gate but that was several years ago. Now I want to go back.

Thanks Mike. The path we went was quite a bit different from than the one from Vancouver to Hell's gate. At the end of the day, on our way home, we did go past Hell's Gate, and I thought about talking my buddy Bob into stopping, but the light was not good as it was about 7:30 pm, and the sun had gone down behind the mountains. I really want to take some more photos of the Fraser Canyon, which is where Hell's Gate is situated, and trust me, there are a lot of magnificent vistas all along the canyon as you travel north, inland toward central British Columbia. Take care.

Thanks Hayward. It is very rugged and beautiful here. I would have taken more photos but the driver (my friend Bob) was a little anxious to geet home. I don't blame him considering how long this route took as it was (14 hours)

Thank you so much, Ella. It was crazy how many times we looked and found areas to stop and take photos. Next time I go to this area I will stay for a weekend as there is so much more to see! Cheers!

Thanks, Macrobaby. It is hard not capturing the serenity of these places. They are so stunning to see live! I checked out some of your posts and I see that you have a good eye for composition, and clarity in your shooting technique.

Thanks Rob. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite photo, because each area had its own character. To be honest, I felt that Joffre Lake was probably the most beautiful of all these places. The combination of the aqua waters, the glaciers above in the mountains, and the ruggedness of the mountains that housed the 3 or 4 glaciers was spectacular. I plan on posting a panorama (if it looks good enough) of Joffre Lake. Take care.
