Default Road trip to Seward, Alaska

My wife and I took a road trip to Seward to do some blueberry picking on Sunday (which was a complete bust) and picked up some incredible shots along the way. Usually we spend three or fours hours picking, but since there were none to be had, we spent the time finding subjects to shoot instead. She gets the prize for the best shot, however I didn't upload her pics to my album, so if you want to see them, you'll have to wait for her to share...sorry! Here are my top three favorites and a link to the collection.

The harbor in Seward. The cruise ship "Veendam" can be seen in the background. Of the pictures I took, this one is my favorite.

Just up the road from here is where we spent our honeymoon. The last time I took a picture from this vantage point, I used a disposable camera, so I was quite happy to be there with the new DSLR.

This is a old bridge that spans the Resurrection River on the road to Exit glacier.

nice set but the 1st one stands out way above the others - its wonderfully composed and interesting as your eyes 1st take in the reflection, then the boats and cruise ship and finally the backdrop

Re: composition on the first photo.

I reckon it's the line of masts either side, leading the eye toward the cruise ship just off-centre that do it.

Excellent photos!

All are great shots but the first is my favourite.

Thanks everyone for your comments. When I was taking that first pic I knew it was going to be a winner. It's my favorite, too!
