Default How much fun can a child's toy be?

I bought this light sphere at a garage sale over the weekend. I've been haunting garage sales looking for shooting props. This is the most promising thing I've found to date. And it only cost me $2. Here are some shots I took today. The background is black construction paper. I also used my Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens, which got me really close to this thing.

This is the entire sphere just to give you all an idea of what it is

The white light is an effect of me touching the sphere with my finger
Light Ball 6

Again, touched the sphere with my finger
Light Ball 4

This is about as close as I could get with my lens

Wow!! The second and third one remind me of the pictures they show in biology books, with the topic of neurons

And what fun you had with this little beauty.

Thanks all. I've been playing with different shutter speeds and f-stops to see what I can get. The really nice thing is that it is totally random so every shot is unique.

Great shots, looks like you had good fun getting them. I'm going to have to start trolling garage sales for props too.
