Hello! I just bought a DSLR last week an XSI with the kit and a 55-250 mm. I am having tons of fun with it and shooting left and right. Coming from S5 IS, I still feel like I have tons of familiarizing to do with the camera. Here's one shot of a flower that I saw outside of diner and just loved the colors and textures on it. What do you guys think?!

Wow. Now I'm really itching to get a DSLR myself!

Really nice details on the flower.
I'm a new arrival here myself - and I've only just upgraded to a DSLR too. More an observation than a criticism: on the leaves under the flower and on the stems beyond the depth of field blur they look remarkably 'speckled' (posterised?) why is that? |
