I actually like both of these... but am curious if others have a preference to a macro shot with less light or a wider shot with more. No post-processing done, so the light & shadow are as exposed. The first was with the sun slightly behind me at f9.0, the second had the sun to my left at f11.0. Both were shot at a 1/160th shutter.

Definately prefer the macro, as it lets the viewer focus on the flower, whereas the shot with more light distracts the viewer with the bright greenery and the blurred flowers, but thats just my view. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the feedback, folks... I've always been slightly unconventional when it comes my Macro work - I don't like a lot of light with them (I've heard you should!), unless its absolutely needed.
