Default I cheated but I got some

I have been admiring a lot of bird shots on here. I can't ever seem to get a good shot of a bird to save my soul. So this morning, I decided to cheat.

I put some bird seed out on the railing of the deck straight in front of the patio door. Brought a chair to the middle of the living room and planted my butt on it. These are taken through the patio door but at least I finally got a few.

Thats not cheating, thats innovation and creativity.

Cheating would have been speading a thin layer of super glue on the rail next to the bird seed

Great shots ftboah

Great trick .. I'm guess that double jay is parent and child? never seen 2 so close without a fight going on .. nice crisp shots through the patio doors ..

I agree too, It's not cheating, it's setting up the shot, and how well you set it up. Great tip and wow look at the results. Be proud Deb. You did a great job.

Dave.

No such thing as cheating...I agree with Beach. Like your second one. It looks like it's really scoping you out!

Whatever you have to do to get the shot is not cheating...it's good photography. And these are good shots....I particularly love the jays. Nice work.

I like that idea, very ingenious. These are teriffic shots and the blue Jay in the second shot seems to be giving you a threating look.

Great shots - I was never a bird shooter either but actually enjoy catching them now - given me more ideas how to capture them - thanks for sharing. Cheers, Bernz
