thank you kindly mate. I spent far too long on them really and ended up neglecting other more important things like sitting around doing nothing like in the second shot lol!!.I suppose i could think that it makes a change from taking shots of other people.

I like the lighting in the first one Mike and it's a great portrait, but I just love the second one and how you set it up. I think a lot of thought went into that one. Good job buddy.

I think they are both very good. the first one shows off your facial features, and I like the pensive mood of the second one.

yup i deliberately made one half more darker at first..The idea was to capture my other half, the darker side if you like. Perhaps we all have one of these. The other was more difficult your right there !! But it came to me in the end-its what i do a lot of -sitting and looking out of my window and thinking about the next shot lol!!
