Default Sunny Bees

OK I took the advise to go shooting in my own back yard. It was hot and sunny and there were bees everywhere so I tried hard to get some decent shots. They don't sit still for long! I have huge respect for those with more patience than me. These were the best ones I got, but I may try again soon. I think I lost a couple of pounds just sweating, it's 104 here today!!

Don't bug me!

I love the way the light really 'highlights' the bees in these shots - especially in shots 2 & 3. Hope you didn't get stung!

These are great shots. It's hard to pick a favorite but I think number 3 has my vote. You are brave to go out in the heat. It's 105 in my backyard in the shade. Uhg!

Thanks everyone....I had fun except for the heat, but maybe that's why there were so many bees out today.

104! I didn't think it got that hot iN San diego! Well, little do I know....I like #2 and #3 the best. Looks like the bee is sucking that flower dry in #3. very cool! I hope your heat breaks soon, a good cold glass of Southern sweet iced tea would go a long way toward chilling that heat.

Ha, sweet tea, that would be good. I grew up in KY and was raised with it!! I've switched over to wine...also refreshing. Thanks for you comments, love your work as well!
