Default Story of my night with pictures

So I set out for the city on my bicycle with the mission of practicing some long exposure photography. Headed to the top of a parking ramp and started taking pictures....
122 062 copy

Then the security guard came up and didn't think I was there just to take pictures or something, and told me to leave. So I rode of with other places in mind, but was interrupted by more security, and few drops of rain when I arrived at the locked gates of the marina I wanted to go in. So I waited for the rain to stop.

122 080 copy

It did. And I started off with another destination in mind. But then it came, cats and dogs, some serious rain. So I found shelter quick. And took a couple more pictures.

122 084 copy

So I waited out and my failed attemps at capturing any lightning set me on my way. One last stop, City Hall.

122 106 copy

So I hot a little wet, got a little excercise and a picture for the 'weather' contest.
I think the night was fairly successful.

Now if someone can just help me figure out why my ISO setting don't show up on Flickr's 'more properties'? Does it have to do with being set on 'L1.0'?

Thanks for your time.

Love the last picture. I haven't tried any reflection pictures yet. I'll have to add that to my list of ones to try.

I know how you feel about seeming suspicious to security guards. In the late 1950's a college friend and I set out with a Rollei-flex and a 4x5 Crown Graphic to do some night photography in the oil refinery area of SE Texas along the Gulf of Mexico Coast, and were quickly spotted and confronted by a couple of refinery security personnel. We felt certain we were within our rights since we were on a public highway, but because of their threats and demeanor we decided to leave since we already had several shots under out belts. We later asked my uncle, who was also a refinery security guard about it, and he said they were a couple of old pluggers who still thought WWII security procedures were in effect. He had the guys hauled into the captain's office and educated.

Sounds to me like an enjoyable night, even with the rain.

It was, and the rain made it even more memorable.
