This is a picture of the wife on the couch...(I am resisting any jokes). I know the background is distracting, but I am happy with the new umbrella that I used in the shot (which you can unfortunately see via the reflection in the china cabinet).

I also learned a new way of smoothing the face in Photoshop, and used it here as well.

Scott, you've identified a couple of problems in your shot, but I know it was probably a quick "Get on the couch honey, and let me try this thing out" kind of deal, so let's take a look at the good points. The lighting is outstanding, soft and pleasing. The pose is well done, and I believe your are mistaken about the reflection of the umbrella....Isn't that her halo you're seeing???
