Default Bark,Bark,Bark.

No one to model for me ,so decided to do a series with texture as a theme.

I like the way the light shows off the intricate patterns of the bark and its texture in your first shot.

Oh my! I see so many possibilities with these textures

Olympus user, Fuji E900, a canon & last but not least a Minolta 35mm and some really old large format box cameras.Not to mention a whole bunch of other stuff. Paint Shop Pro X3, CS3,CS5, Portrait Professional, Topaz Adjust, Lucis Art and the list goes on........

Oh, I have been wanting to do that for a while using the same title and you beat me to it.

Love it.

I had to give myself a kick in the butt as my trip to Sequoia NP was with a dead camera battery and no charger.

These are what we call ponytail palms, and they have the most interesting bark.
Next time I will spend more time on glancing light.

It's not a race and nobody needs to win.
I would love to see your interpretation of this theme.

As for the dead battery and leaving behind the charger you are not Robertson Crusoe there.
