Nice array of patterns and detail in all of these. I especially like the play of light on the gold rafters in your last one.

yea the first two are what i intended to capture that day, the museums ceilings are amazing. The third although not really archtecture had detail that i wanted. But Charles 1st was responsible for some major buildings so its all a part of the landcape. Your comments are well appreciated thanks mike Quote:
your comments are always appreciated. The covered market has some great roof rafters that needed drawing attention too. Nice red ceilings too to show em off so thats why it was left in colour really, cheers bro. mike2 Why thanks jo all the tourists take photos of this square and the statue in the Bodlian. It has some great detail so i suppose this is my take on it.I am a armour nut too and Charles 1st had good taste in the Arts but not in Politics so i believe lol!! thanks for your comments. mike Quote:
No selective colouring here!! Just took the black sliders down in Photoshop to lead you to the yellow windows. Well it worked on you lol!! thanks for all you recent comments Dave great as always. cheers mike Quote:
Well i can see it did it to you too!! as i sort of intended thanks so much for your comments mike

Nice set Mike, the first two very similar, and I quite like the BW treatment, the armour has good detail and tone. The last one is excellent. I like the perspective, looks like a small focal length used to maximise the effects of looking down the aisle/ shops, and capturing the floor and ceiling beams. I like the light and shade and slightly muted colours, and the suggestion of shoppers, good job

thanks the first two are colour and not converted to greyscale. I moved the black and dark sliders up in photoshop as i wanted to keep the distant yellow balcony -selective colouring lol!!. I like the last one too and glad i left it in colour as b/w didnt really work. I felt the colours added to the perpective or more of a sense of it anyway. The focal length was 18mm.I used my 18-105 mm vr lens as it gives a wider angle and camera set on manual f4.0 and 1/15 no flash thanks again steve for your comments speak soon mike
