i know how you feel Stella we have had a 4or 5 year old drought broken by this winters rain,it was terrible our main river is called the Murry River which supplies most of South Australia with its water. It was that dry you could walk across the river in places without getting your ankles wet.I hope things improve soon for everybody in Texas .your photo reminds me so much of the S.A. countryside

Thanks ;-) Oh I can imagine your pain in SA, the drought is bad enough, but then add the heat, and it just sucks the life right out of you ;-( we're paying a premium for hay, what used to be $2.50 a bale, is now $7.50 and that just for plain old grass hay, and thats if you can find it...Didn't you all have lots of fires as well? We've had a few, but have been fortunate that none got out of hand....amazing though, as it's a tinder box for sure.

Very clever choice for the assignment, not to mention a very good photo. This is one where a picture is worth a thousand words.

Great photo. Looks very very dry. I live in a rain forest area...and we haven't had rain for months now. Crazy!
