Default Meet the In-laws

This is my nephew, the youngest of three boys, he has decided to stay on the land and works for Dad, whilst growing his own herd.

Cloncurry 5-2

my sister-in-law (husbands sister) who after forty-four years of living out there still speaks with a very pronounced english accent.

Cloncurry 5-3

and this is 'The Cattle Man', I am not going to explain what he had just been cutting off the that knife. He is seventy-one.

Cloncurry 5-4

and another sunset, no windmills this time.

This looks like a hard working family! Great shots. I love the sunset. Great capture of the sunlight on the side of the trees.

Images from a Town Like Alice drift up from a good read long ago. I can practically hear the cattle lowing. These are wonderful photos--they're not just face but faces with stories written in expressions and lines. The "Cattle Man's" hat is novel. If only hats could talk.

That is rough country and you capture it so well......All the portraits are really good.......Now my mother's husband and my former boss have both worked with cattle so I am presuming that he has been "taking care" of the bulls

WoW what a family - they obviously like their hats or I suppose it's so hot they need them. Great shots Michele. Cheers, Bernz

What a great set of family pictures Michele, they all look so comfortable with themselves and the results are relaxed and natural, or was that down to the skill of the photographer

Thank You for sharing your Family Michele! All 3 look like real outdoor types, especially the Cowboy, 71 and he looks hard as Nails!!!1
I like your last shot as it shows the type of country you were traveling in. Very Outback!
Thanks for sharing these

What I can't show you Lindy is the noise of the bush. Everything hums from the bees and the insects and of course the flies. The bush is a very noisy place, and I'm sure that hat could tell a tale or two.

You are absolutely right Patrick, from bulls to steers in one quick action, along with branding and ear tagging and these days a clip out of the ears to show if they have been feed hormones. Oh I almost forgot, and de-horned.

They were just going about daily life dealing with the wieners, I just tried to stay out of the way while keeping one eye out for cattle that run the wrong way and various cow bits thrown my way.
