Default Uncooperative doggie photo shoot!

I'm new here, and new to my Canon T1i and dSLRs. I'm using borrowed lenses and learning about the camera's abilities. I was playing with an 85mm f/1.8 in my relatively dark tv room, with no flash. I was trying to get the focus on the eyes of my dogs, and they make it a challenge with their desire to play any time I look their direction! This was a week after I started using the camera... I have been playing with white balance settings and different types of processing, so the colors aren't always perfect - Cocoa's the color of the 4th picture, not the 3rd, for example, but it was a fun shoot anyway!

My dog Andy's eye:

And a bit more of Andy's face as she tried to run out of the picture:

Cocoa, after I scolded her for jumping at me each time I looked her direction:

And Cocoa after I told her she was good for staying still for a few photos:

Yep, she's missing a middle tooth on the bottom - she must have had a rough life before I adopted her!

Great shots here - yes a new camera and learning all about it is fun. Thanks goodness for digital as we can take as many fotos as we like and just delete them if not wanted.

Great start. keep them coming. Cheers, Bernz
