Default The Old Mill and The Sunflowers...

Hi everyone,

I took a little drive to Oxford yesterday. That would be Oxford Kansas, for the benefit of my friends across the pond. My trip was specifically to capture images of the old mill in Oxford. I stopped at a Sunflower field on the way and had a nice time all together. I thought I would share an image or four with you, hope you enjoy them...

Across from the old mill, I spied this truck. I think I could get it for a song.
Tired Truck
This is the old mill. I had the place to myself yesterday. It was restored a decade ago and was originally built in 1874. The stories she could no doubt tell!

Finally, a last peek at the Sunflowers. Simple, beautiful and their seeds are great at a ballgame!!

As always, thanks for looking and happy viewfinders!

Great series. I like the line of sunflowers in the background of your first shot. It really shows off an abundance of flowers and I like how the sunflowers are lined up in your last shot. I enjoyed your other two very much as well

Thanks Leona, I really hit the brakes when I saw that field! I was glad I had my nifty-fifty with me. I opened that aperture as wide as light would allow and had fun. Thanks again for your kind words.

Thanks Mike! I was so happy to run across this field. It reminded me of the fields of tulips in Holland. That was how I tried to capture them. Thanks for the shout out.

Thanks Mike, I was aware that I was "speaking" to an international audience. I figured someone might challenge the location of Oxford. When I was a youngster and I would hear of someone going to Oxford to university, I was amazed Oxford was big enough to have a university.

This is a wonderful collection of photographs Tom and the old mill could be a setting from across the pond here in England. I love them all buddy but the old mill just holds my attention. The colours, textures and reflection are awesome. Lol and I think you would get that old car for a song.. Great captures mate.

Dave.

Thanks Dave, you make my day! Honestly, I thought of you when I captured the image of the mill and then again in PP. You have turned in some beautiful water and reflection images. Thanks again mate!
