Default Flame of the jungle

Daren, this the first time I am posting so don't know the reactions. Recently, purchased Canon SX10 camera and take a pic. Kindly comment.

A warm welcome as well.....alot of good pics taken on this site with that camera so you are in good company.....that flower looks it comes right out of the hibiscus family....interesting longer stem on it and the blooms are shaped differently

Hi Sandeep, yes can see it now.

Great foto of the hibiscus - it is rich in colour.

That looks like you have a great camera there - just googled it as I don't know much about the Canon cameras.

What I would have done in taking this type of foto would be set the camera in Aperture Priority mode and have the aperture setting set to high say f2.8 to f3.5 and then focus on the flower itself. This would give some depth of field and blur the leaves a little. Also I would have taken it as a Portrait shot and not Landscape to provide some more room at the bottom of the foto.

I am sure we will see a lot more from you - practice makes perfect and looking at how others take fotos will give you ideas on how you want to take them. There is always a better way, it's just who can think of it.
