I call this series "Banks You Can Trust" because they are not going to go under and they won't need any bailout. Anyway, for several years I've been putting all my change into a 5-gallon water bottle. I call it my Christmas fund and once a year I go to a bank that will count them and give me cash for no fee -- can't beat that. So I was looking at the bottle, and at a couple of banks that I have at home and came up with a concept. I'm not very happy with the Piggy Bank because he gets a lot of reflections but I think it's a concept worth continued exploration. BTW, you'll see a golden cast in some of them, that's because I used a gold reflector. After all it is money.
Went for max DOF on this one: ![]() Wanted focus on coins and getting softer toward the bank: ![]() Wanted primary focus on the jar: ![]() Wanted primary focus on the register bank:

Thanks. And I did have fun with it. I'll keep at it this week. I've got everything set up and will just see what I can capture.

I love the concept, but the shots just don't seem that crisp (sharp).

Interesting concept. I like where you're going with it and look forward to seeing some more.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm not done with this concept. This was a first take and I think that I can do something much better. Gonna continue playing with it. But it's a good start.

I think the second one is my favorite. Not sure about the others. I've been playing more in my garage studio and will have some more images to post later. I'll do it in another thread because I'm also comparing lenses for perspective and it's very interesting.
