Default Busy As A Bee...

My wife planted some spearmint a few years ago. We like to harvest it in the fall and make tea with it's leaves. She even found some Chocolate Spearmint, no joke and planted it this year. It comes back every year and so do the bees and wasps. I took some time yesterday and capture some of our visitors on our spearmint and the other flowers in our flower bed. Hope you like'em, don't worry, stingers removed.

Bees 5

Full Flower

Bumble Bees 4

Moth 1

It was a pleasant day for bees, moths and images.

Thanks for viewing.

Only thing I would bring to your attention is the fact that the light is a bit blown up, you can tell you used a flash without a diffuser, such as the third sample picture. I would recommend using a flash diffuser so that the pictures are softer or post production to remove some of the white blown up spots.

Or if all else fails, use natural light

Good call, I should have used the diffuser. I cut the flash down to 1/4 power, but forgot to use the diffuser flap.
Oh well, that's called learning. I will just have to have all the bees and wasps back over to the flower bed for retakes.
