Thank you Ella. Like I said in my initial comment, I am falling in love with B&W photography, especially with people shots. Cheers.

hi p
these are great love the title cowgirl in the sand title being an old Neil young fan.B/W is cool as i have been playing with it over the last few days-see my thread black and white day. Yes you just got to get out there and practice. I have adopted a way of thinking now when i go out, not colour but greyscale and it works for me.
thanks for putting these on they are inspiring as i have been just concentrating on buildings and skys -people are great subjects too!! love the one of the man taking a shot of the bird
cheers mike

Thanks Mike. I have not tried to go out thinking in terms of greyscale, but I have heard that is a good way to approach B&W conversions. So does this mean you try to visualize everything in greyscale? Sounds intereseting, and maybe I will try to do the same. Right now I am trying to work on composition and conversions. That keeps me quite busy! Do you have a link to your flickr site? I wouldn't mind cheking out some of your work as well.

Hi Mike. I just checked out your B&W photos on Flickr. Very, very nice work! Were these done from HDR's? I just ask as the cloud detail in some of them is so nice. Well done, my friend!

no HDR no pre processing like that just photoshop -clarity if i need it usually quite a lot lol!! I mostly use the various sliders and controls within bridge like highlights darks and lights after i have converted it to greyscale plus the clour sliders too. Maybe your familiar with this if not have go its fun and rewarding. There are a few ways of converting to greyscale b/w but this suits me as i am a simpleton lol!!
thanks for checking out my pics your comments are appreciated
cheers mike
