Default Emotional Bride

I did some photos of a friends wedding yesterday and got all the typical "standing around with family" shots, but got a few really good shots that really captured the emotions of the day. I'm pretty pleased with this one honestly and it's one of my few favorite shots of the day.

I really don't know what to do about the preachers shoulder in the bottom corner and I know parts of the veil are blown out, but with being outside, on the lake at 3:30 in the afternoon on a slightly overcast/partly sunny day and a bride in all white...I have no idea how I could have saved the veil more. (Also, there IS a purple and white streak in her hair that's not a weird thing the camera did!)

I softened the photo a little in Photoshop and played a bit with the levels, but other than that, not much pp done to the original.

Nice image and one I'm sure she can treasure. Thanks for sharing.

Photobucket

I played around a bit with it in elements 7.

I reduced the blue, cropped the right side and bottom off a bit, reduced the green in the trees (reducing the blue made the greens too bright), and shamelessly painted over her veil with a white (#ffffff) brush at 25% opacity.

Hope this was ok, it was fun.
