Default The girls at the Beach

Michelle and I recently took the girls for a day at the beach and Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, here are a few shots from our day.

Megan on the beach, running from the waves, the wave won the race.

Megan waves

Megan hiding under the pier from the waves...

Megan pier

Rachel on one of her favorite rides at the Boardwalk, she is quite fearless, the higher or crazier the better...

Rachel going up

And finally some nice cold refreshments after a long day, mmmmm, dippin' dots.

Mmmm dippin dots

As always, thank you for looking !

Megan had a great time getting wet, staying dry, leaving her stomach on the ride, filling her stomach back up again. Yeh, sounds like a good day out to me

Santa Cruz...1978-79.....I was thirteen and fourteen then and lived in San Jose. We used to go over the mountains to Santa Cruz every few weeks or so. The water was so freaking cold, that I never went in the water again and resorted to fishing off of the pier catching flounder. Revisted area in 1987 on my honeymoon at Pebble Beach and have never been back. Lots of good memories though....

Those are my girls all right! Megan could jump waves all day long. She never tires of it and I never tire of watching her joy. Rachel is just like I was in my youth, the faster and wilder the better. Put that together with her Dad's serious need for speed and you have a recipe for a true adrenaline speed freak. It was such a great day with my Mom and my girls. I can not wait to go back and use or 50 leftover ride tickets. Your shots here captured the day beautifully. I love them Mom and I love you too~!

Thank you, I am partial to that shot also, she looks so cute standing there waiting for the waves to come in again.
