Default Airshow shots

Didnt have the 'right' lens for the occassion but worked with what I had. Weather was PERFECT at the beginning and then turned rather grey. Here's of a few I think turned out ok.

Herrier hovering

Lancer bomber (I believe), sky was dark and grey but loved the afterburners.....

Raptor sitting right in front of us on the runway, though with me being 5'4" (in shoes) and there being all the people in the special section in front of us this wasnt an easy shot.

For someone that did not have the right lens you sure got some great shots.

Cracking images, especially love the first image of the F22 Raptor, nice composition and lighting.
The sea harrier is now phased out here in the UK so was wondering it that was a private one or from somewhere like the Indian Navy?
Really well done, not an easy job to capture nice shots at an air show. You did a great job

The Harrier is the only privately owned harrier, It is owned by Art Nalls. He actually bought it from the Britians Royal Navy, i believe. And had it shipped over to the USA and rebuilt it.
Here is his website (Art Nells) - Nalls Aviation - Home of the Sea Harrier

Jessica - well done! I especially love the one photo with the 3 planes! Great photo!
(The photo where you think is the Lancer, is actually the F-22 Raptor )

I always love looking at the airshow shots because I work with aircraft. All of them are great captures but I just love the afterburner shot and theres nothing like the sound when the airplane goes into full power up.. Nice work Jessica and thanks for sharing them with us.

Dave.

thanks dave. I love the afterburner shot also. the sky was so dark and grey but I like the mood of the shot and I instantly think of Top Gun everytime I look at it.

Jessica - You did really good on your photos

I heard airshows are one of the hardest things to photograph.

Did you get any crowd photos? I did Was a huge crowd, i wonder how many is there today? I had tickets for todays show, but i am sunburnt pretty bad, so i decided not to go.

Do you have an email address i can reach you at?
