Default Simonga Village

On our last full day in Livingstone we were guided around the local village

I've attached a link with some details for anyone who is interested in the place

and a link to someone's blog which may also be of interest

Journeys of the Heart: Zambia & the Simonga village

Here are some images from the village

This is a lovely set Sheldon and all so natural. I love them all but my favourite is the first one, it makes you want to keep going back for another look. Just something about that one that makes it special. Nice work my friend.

Dave.

Tremendous post Sheldon.

I hope members take the opportunity to view your excellent pictures, and read the content of the two very interesting links.

Well done mate

The weird thing when you shoot in the villages (we had a full day trip to another later in our travels - images to follow!) is that the people are really happy for you to do so but once they see the camera they want to pose - I was lucky with the 1st 2 as they were too absorbed in what they were doing

I hope so too - these people live in quite desperate conditions

It certainly is - everyone we met in Zambia, whatever their circumstances, were full of smiles and joy and incredibly welcoming
