Lightbulb It's the little things...

Today I implemented the amazing and truly wonderful technology of installing a business card on my pop up flash, thereby giving me the ability to bounce the ever-dreaded harsh light.

And then the clouds parted and the sun shined down upon me.

Just wanted to share. This is almost SOOC; bumped up exposure and tone curve adjustment in DPP; and cropped it.

Thanks for looking! Thoughts and comments always welcome and appreciated.

Well done Aimee, the lighting looks great and it's a lovely portrait of a gorgeous little boy. The skin tones are lovely and what a lovely smile he gave you. Nice work Aimee.

Thank you, Bernz. Every now and then I get a natural smile out of him. I consider it quite an accomplishment!

Dave.
Hey Dave, thanks so much! I love his smile. To capture the real thing takes some patience though because he's gotten into the habit of making the cheese face, which looks more like a constipated face!

It certainly does, Chip! I've tried just about every DIY diffuser, okay two: coffee filter and film canister, but neither work as well as the bounce did in terms of even lighting and (bonus!) catchlights that are not just pin lights in the center of his eyes! Love it!!

Thanks for your comments.
