Default Friday along the River.

I'm learning to use the Canon 500mm f/4.0 L, It's a monster to carry, but I'm getting used to it slowly but surely. Here are a few from my Friday Lunch time walk.

He's spotted me and is taking off

Just signed on and first thing I see is a post from you, so of course I check it out and get totally blown away by that second shot. What an amazing set, you'd think it was a macro lens you were using. Wonderful

I'll bet you did Michael.

Four great pictures right on the limits of that beautiful beast of a lens. Hard to split them but I do like the first. You have a similar one on flickr but this is the one for me. Sharply detailed and a perfect background, nicely captured mate

I love everything about the second one, from the swirls in the water, to the reflection, to the large upright wings, everything. Definitely one to hang on the wall of trophy photos. And the first one shoud hang right beside it, brilliant shots.

This is an awesome set. They are all beautiful! I happen to be partial to the dragonflies, and especially the one laying eggs. Great capture!
