Default Found this rock in my backyard

Sometimes a new camera will allow you to see things you've never really seen before...

Newbie question: What did you do to get the sky so blue, with lighter blue contour around the trees?

It's an HDR image.. (Google that puppy and you'll have lots to read) - as far as the lighter blue contour ( halo effect ), that's not really wanted, it's just a result of the post-processing.. I normally try and get rid of it, but I was all thumbs last night and my Dodge/Burn technique really sucked, so I left it in for now..

Didn't hurt either that it was a beautiful day, and Idaho has some incredible blue skies...

thanks,

Nice HDR treatment. I have just recently been getting into HDR (which I never thought I would because of people over processing etc), but this looks great. Too bad about the halo along the skyline. How much did you increase saturation and the "effect"? Just curious.

I was actually quite conservative with the adjustments.. Everything pretty much towards the low end..

Glad you like it...
