These are just some pics i've taken since i bought my wife her pentax k100d

Just starting to learn how to use it properly.

These were taken with a sigma 70-300mm 1:4-5.6

Firstly welcome to DPS, you will have great fun sharing your shots here and these are some really good ones to start with. I love the depth of field in the first one, the light house one is my favourite one but they are all fantastic. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thank you for you replies.

I know along the way i'm sure to draw criticism of things that i do with the camera being that the photos i take will not always if ever be perfect, but right now, after only deciding recently to learn to use the camera, hearing that what i've done so far is looking good is very rewarding and encouraging.

She would love to learn to use it but hasn't the time ... (we have too many children) in the meantime she uses it on auto and comes up with some nice stuff.
