I recently photographed the first birthday party of a friend's daughter at this neat little vintage amusement park in Oakland, Fairyland. Built in the 1950s, this place was just calling for some timeless images.
This first one isn't too vintage-inspired, but it was the first shot I took of the day and loved how it turned out. The birthday girl couldn't have been any cuter! The next two just captured the girls in their own little worlds. After some adjusting of levels and adding vignette, I really love how the fourth one turned out. I'm still just getting my feet wet in the child photography arena, and every time I have a shoot I come out feeling like I couldn't get my ideas from my head to the images. Then I get home and start looking at them on the computer and find I'm pleasantly surprised that I get more good shots than I thought! |

Love the blue eyes in the first shot. In the third shot you have done a great job at capturing the happiness and wonder in a childs life. Altogether a great set.
