The Grey Heron
Here are some shots I took on a walk around the lake at St James Park in central London during my lunch hour today - this first bird is a spectacular immature grey heron. I was really surprised to see one wading around in the reeds right at the edge of the lake. I have not a clue what genus this other brightly coloured bird is though - I love its plumage whatever it is
