Default Catching the wind .....

Well some of you may know that Wellington is known as the windy city. Well today it is windless and I am about to get out there with my camera but before doing so thought I would share a couple of fotos about wind.

This first one is a pole that measures the wind strength - the pole rotates indicating the winds force. This day was was not so strong.

Wind Pole

then dwn to Lyall bay where I caught a wind surfer - waves not very big but the wind pulls the surfer along.

Wind surfing

Hello Bernz! Great Set! I like the Wind Surfer shot. Very well done. That's an interesting Weather Vane in the 1st one as well. Good Shooting today!
Thanks for Sharing these

Nice shots - that is one HUUUUUGE yellow toothpick!

Actually either of those would have been great for the "Mixing Elements' Assignment last week.

Great shots once again Bernz. A day without wind, I'd love a day without clouds, lol. I look forward to seeing the great photos you take today. Enjoy your day out my friend.

Nice set Bernz, I would like to see that vane work on a windy day, so I can figure out how it works.

Thanks to you all that have responded. I am just back after 3 hours with the camera on a windless day - plenty of captures to share in the coming days.

Now to the wind - when we have a windy day 100kmp+, Sept/Oct is usually when we get the strongest, I will get back there and take the same shot so you can see how far it rotates.

I like the comment about the giant toothpick !!!

Cheers, Bernz
