Default Crater of Mt. Pinatubo

This is my first time to post and i have to apologize for the quality of my pix coz i just have a point and shoot at the moment..
Anyway, this is the crater of Mt. Pinatubo..or should i say volcano..It erupted last 1991 which according to facts is the second largest terrestial eruption of the 20th century..i was just a kid when it happened but i still remember the destruction it brought..looking at it now..it is so serene and beautiful..and i hope it will be kept that way..

Stunning shot, the water looks so inviting being that lovely blue colour, hard to imagine a place of such beauty could be so destructive!

Thanks for showing us this lovely image.

"Its not the fiddle but the fiddler......" Camera is inconsequential, its what you do with it that counts. Excellent shot, well done. Wonderful color and composition.

Welcome to DPS!

The crater is so serene and the color of the water is so beautiful, but it hides the turmoil that lies underneath. Let's hope it stays serene for a long time.

what a lovely opening shot!
My mother is a geologist and I am convinced that I missed my calling as a vulcanologist (that has nothing to do with star-trek people)

considering the power they harness and their ability to literal change the world in seconds, they must be the most impressive phenomenon around!

YOu can have the best camera in the world but if you do not have an eye for a picture or know how to take a good shot it won't do you any good. Very Nice shot. Iy makes you want to dive in for a swim.
