Default It's been too long, but spring is on it's way

Last week I went for a walk in the Botanic Gardens. The theme almost seemed to be "abandoned". I found this little guy abandoned on a post by the duck pond.

And this rose abandoned in leaves along a dark path.

Of course, not everything was abandoned, given that the smells of spring were everywhere, especially in the fragrant garden.

It's been far too long since I've been able to enjoy going out and taking pictures, and far too long since nature has provided some colour to the landscape.

Love them all! Especially the "cuteness" of the first one and the color of the second!

Hope (and Spring) springs eternal! Forlorn is the child who lost its favorite toy. A rose, fallen, tattered and disheveled, soon to fade and die. But there is hope. Hope in the renewing cycle of life. Hope in the freshness of the newfound bud. Hope in being able to get out and feel the warmth of the sun on a camera body!

Thanks! That's quite a positive way to put it. I really do hope he found his owner.

I know, aren't we due for spring? I was getting really hopeful, but it's a bit chilly today. And thanks! I would do that if I'd thought ahead enough to think to pick the little guy up in case his owner could identify him.

Thanks! The colour was really quite natural in that second picture, which was why it stood out to me. The only thing I did was tone down some of the vibrance of the few green leaves popping up.

I think I love this comment for how to sum up the photos.

Yep, mother nature seems to still be toying with us a little, but spring is coming slowly but surely. Thanks Hayward!
