Default science museum fun

Last Wednesday, I went to the South Florida Science Museum. I'm pretty sure quite a few parents thought I was nuts but I had a great time.

baby gator
This is my absolute favorite shot of the day. It's not quite as sharp as I'd like it to be because I was hand-held, sans flash, for almost a second. And then I had to hand-tint it when I got home because I'm mildly obsessed.

mom&seastar
I tried to get a shot of myself holding the sea star but apparently it takes two hands to use an SLR (who knew?) so I compromised and let my mom hold it.

A mildy obsessed photographer? Welcome to the club!

Glad you took some nice photos by which you can remember the day. And for a 1-second exposure of the starfish, you did well.

I like all those shots as well but I really like the first one most.

The alligator was a 1-sec. The sea star was maybe 1/20th or so because there wasn't glass in my way.

I've been obsessed with photography forever. The hand-tinting obsession is new though.

Heaterguy, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one in love with the alligator.

And bumblebeezack, I'm glad you like it. It was so hard to make sure it stayed purple in such low lighting.
