Default Defenses!

Gosh - haven't shared in ages but here we go.
A series of 3 sea defences in Norfolk, England on a cloudy summer's day - the construction is quite primitive but it takes something of the power out of the waves before they hit and erode cliffs ... the third picture is different in that the wooden groynes prevent sand from being washed along the shore.

Interesting subjects. Cheers for sharing.

Would LOVE to do a sunrise shot along that coastline....would make for some interesting foreground subjects

I agree ... sadly was there mid-afternoon on a rather grey day, so not the best light - might have to set the alarm soon!!!

Nice shots. Your second one reminds me of the seawall in Galveston, TX, USA

I like all three. The first is my favorite. I like the clouds in the distance and the rocks on the right to add interest and character.

Thanks for your comments ... it was quite a grey day really ... been out today in Norwich - haven't looked to see what I got yet!

Heaterguy - I'm sure Galveston is warmer/sunnier than Norfolk

fstopmike - glad you like - I couldn't decide!

No, not warm. HOT AND HUMID. Humidity often comes close to matching the temperature.
