I used a sound trigger to fire the flash when I shot the pellet at the balloon. Prior to shooting I turned off the lights and opened the shutter (bulb)...fired and that's it. Pretty simple actually once the shot is setup.

Yes sir, but its only a pellet gun so what you are seeing is the C02 gas coming out of the gun.
