Default Thank-you Thankyou- Thank-you

Thanks to DPS I have completely changed the way I approach general shooting.
Shifted to RAW, organised Photoshop and today is my big reveal!
Here are 3 shots that standout for me from an outing with friends to a nearby park this afternoon.
Thanks to the brains trust and the general membership for the great info and positive vibes!

Yes gturner this is just the best place for learning and as we learn it shows in our shots and you have shown just that with these three great captures. The little boy is so adorable. I love the way he is showing his balancing skills in the second one. We have a lot to thank this site for. I am with you my friend so a thank you from me too. Nice work and thank you for sharing your new found skills.

Dave.

Those are three great shots. This is a great place to learn and grow and it's fun to watch others' skills improve and it shows with your pictures. The third one is superb and is my favorite of your set.

Thanks Mike & co, kind words are the best motiviation
I also like the 3rd - I think it might be the best portrait shot I have ever taken. The full size version is beautiful.

Taking the time to post-process turns nice into winners!

Yup shooting in raw makes a huge difference. I just posted a thread where I accidently shot in jpeg by mistake and I was shocked at the loss in dynamic range and increased noise compared to how I normally shoot in RAW.

no money, we have a son and daughter each - both same age and best pals. Great practice for me and they get some nice shots.
