Very Nice! I love bird photography. Those little buggers are almost as hard to shoot as dragonflies.

Default Shooting Tip

If you have feeders up and have flowers that they are eating at also like glads or crocosmia you can cheat a little bit.

Take an eye dropper with some of the food from a feeder in it and put a few drops in a couple of the flowers close together and set up on that flower. The birds will stay longer at the flower and return to it more often.

Also try and get your setup at a right angle to the flower and the bird. You will end up with more of the bird in focus if you end up shooting at high shutter speed and large aperture.

Great capture I love the contrast in colors between the Hummer and the flower. Nice sharp image. I haven't seen any this year to shoot. I think the season is almost over here.
