Ok, im not 100% comfortable posting this here, not just because i hate being infront of a camera but also because this photo was took to show someone how i felt about them...

So i feel a bit vulnerable posting this but at the same time, the user: no.absolutes made me feel like i should share after her recent post

WOW I really like it a LOT!!!! you did a wonderful job. I am glad you posted it. Hmmmm maybe I should do one of these LOL No I'm too ugly.
But I think it is an AWESOME job you did and it is just too bad the person that was to receive it never got the chance to see it.

Awesome self-portrait and you're right! It is a very vulnerable shot! I'm glad in some back-handed way I convinced you into posting it. I really love the heart as a light source!

Wow! That's a lot better than my attempt which came out looking like a pasty drunk who'd nicked some daffodils and lost his clothes on the way home!

its nice to have some feedback on it anyway , as for the light source.. there's actually 3 of them.

1 strobe either side of me and one inside the heart (which was actually a red plastic soup spoon lol), trying to take the photo was hard.. I had the camera connected to the tv so i could see the live view, i then had to use a wired remote with the same hands i was holding the flash/soup spoon combo in to trigger the camera hehe.

I did a fair bit of post to, removed the background and added my own, some texture layers and changed the color of the photo and shaped the spoon to a heart (and added a bit at the bottom to).

Alot of thought.. work and effort, makes me sad that i didnt get the chance to show her it and i dont know if it would make seance to now if i did have the chance. On a side note.. one of my best friends did see it... and she said it was very nice, so maby in a strange way the right person did get to see it
